Instructions for use for Diclo ratiopharm pain gel - with diclofenac, 100 g
Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel relieves movement pain
Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel offers effective help with movement pain.Whether it's a sprained ankle, a pulling pain in the back or a throbbing knee, pain like this can occur at any age.The pain gel relieves back pain, muscle pain and joint pain exactly where it occurs. Thanks to the skin-like liposomes, the active ingredient diclofenac penetrates the skin better. These liposomes are particularly skin-friendly and do not irritate the skin. The pain gel is perfume-free and is therefore also suitable for people with a fragrance allergy or sensitive skin.It can be used by adults and teenagers aged 14 and over.
The active ingredient diclofenac relieves pain and inflammation by inhibiting the production of messenger substances that cause pain and inflammatory reactions. If the gel is applied to the affected part of the body, the active ingredient remains directly at the site of the injury and develops its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects there.Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel is not only suitable for treating sprains, bruises and strains, but also for tendonitis or other recurring inflammatory muscle diseases or joint diseases. For optimal effect, you can apply the pain gel to the affected part of the body three times a day and massage it in.It leaves hardly any residue and also cools the skin. After use, you should first wipe your hands with a paper towel and then wash them. This means that up to 66% less active ingredient ends up in the wastewater and you are automatically doing something good for the environment.
Area of application
Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel with the active ingredient diclofenac is a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory drug.It is suitable for the external symptomatic treatment of pain, inflammation and swelling, both in acute complaints and in complaints caused by diseases such as osteoarthritis. The particular advantage of Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel lies in the liposome technology, which transports the active ingredient particularly well through the skin. After application, the liposomes bind to the skin, ensuring good absorption of the active ingredient.Liposomes also have caring properties, which is why the skin is not additionally irritated. The pain gel is free of perfume and is therefore also suitable for people with fragrance allergies.
The pain gel is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over. However, it should be noted that if treatment lasts longer than 7 days or if symptoms do not improve or symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. In the first two trimesters of pregnancy, the pain gel should only be used after consulting a doctor. It must not be used in the last trimester as an increased risk of complications for mother and child cannot be ruled out.During breastfeeding, the pain gel should only be used after medical advice and you should avoid applying it to larger areas of the body or over a longer period of time.In addition, it should not be used on the chest area to avoid direct contact of the infant with the gel.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
1 g of Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel contains 10 mg diclofenac sodium. The other ingredients are ammonia, carbomer 980, decyl oleate, sodium edetate (Ph.Eur.), octyldodecanol (Ph.Eur.), (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline (soy), 2-propanol (Ph.Eur.), RRR-α-tocopherol, soybean oil (Ph.Eur.), odorants and purified water.
Contraindications
The pain gel must not be used if you are allergic to diclofenac sodium, other painkillers and rheumatism medications (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. It should also not be used by patients in whom asthma attacks, rash or acute rhinitis are triggered by acetylsalicylic acid or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).The gel must not be used on open injuries, inflammations or infections of the skin, as well as on eczema or mucous membranes. It is not suitable for children and adolescents under 14 years of age and must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy.
Dosage
Apply a thin, approx. 10-12 cm long gel strand of Diclo-ratiopharm® pain gel to the painful area three times a day. This corresponds to a daily dose of 3 g gel (30 mg diclofenac sodium). The maximum daily dose is 9 g gel (90 mg diclofenac sodium). By rubbing in lightly and massaging evenly, the absorption of active ingredients is increased and the gel is absorbed more quickly.
Intake
The pain gel is only intended for use on the skin and must not be taken.Apply the gel thinly to the affected areas of the body and rub it lightly into the skin.Hands should then be wiped with a paper towel and then washed, unless hands are the area to be treated. If too much gel is accidentally applied, excess gel should be wiped off with a paper towel. The paper towel must be disposed of with residual waste to prevent unused gel from entering the water cycle. Before applying a bandage, the gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes. The use of an airtight dressing (occlusive dressing) is not recommended. The pain gel can also be used as an adjunctive therapy together with other dosage forms containing diclofenac.
Patient information
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the pain gel.If the pain gel is applied to a large area of the skin and used over a longer period of time, the occurrence of side effects cannot be ruled out. These side effects are comparable to those that may occur when taking medicines containing diclofenac. If you suffer from asthma, hay fever, swelling of the nasal mucous membranes (nasal polyps) or chronic respiratory diseases that narrow the airways (obstructive) or chronic respiratory infections and are hypersensitive to painkillers and rheumatism medications of all kinds, you are more likely to suffer from asthma attacks (analgesic intolerance/analgesic asthma), local skin and mucous membrane swelling (Quincke's edema) or hives when using it(urticaria) at risk than other patients. The same also applies if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to other substances, such as:B. with skin reactions, itching or hives. If a rash occurs during treatment, stop treatment. The pain gel should only be applied to intact skin areas, not to skin wounds or open injuries.Eyes and mucous membranes should not come into contact with the product.Care should be taken to ensure that children do not allow their hands to come into contact with the areas of skin rubbed with the medicine.
