Directions for use of the article Urgo Aphthae: An aphthae is a superficial lesion of the oral mucosa that appears as a painful erosion with a white or yellow colour and a bright red fringe. The exact causes of aphthae are unknown, but there are factors such as hereditary predisposition, food intolerances, mucosal injury, certain medications, stress, hormones and a weakened immune system that can contribute to their development. Treatment of aphthae is often by self-medication. Urgo Aphthae is a liquid film dressing for the treatment of small-surface aphthae and minor injuries of the oral mucosa. The gel forms a protective film on the oral mucosa, which protects the wound from external influences, relieves pain and promotes wound healing. It is recommended to apply the gel up to four times a day until complete healing. Application is simple: a spatula is wiped on the edge of the vial and the gel is applied to the wound. The film remains visible as long as no reapplication is required. The composition of the gel ensures its purity, so cleaning the spatula after use is not necessary. Urgo Aphthae has proven efficacy, provides fast and long-lasting pain relief and is waterproof and resistant to food.
