Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.

Dosage

The recommended use for Elevit 1 Kinderwunsch & early pregnancy tablets is: Take one tablet daily with sufficient liquid from the time you want to have children until the end of the 12th week of pregnancy.

Supplementary folic acid intake increases folate levels in pregnant women.Low folate levels in pregnant women are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the growing fetus.The positive effect occurs with a supplementary intake of 400 µg folic acid daily for a period of at least one month before and up to three months after conception.However, neural tube defects can also have causes other than an inadequate supply of folic acid. Increasing folate levels cannot therefore always prevent the development of neural tube defects.
