Instructions for use of the article Comfeel Plus Flexible Hydrocolloid Dressing 15x15 cm Product characteristics: - Indicated for a wide range of non- to moderately exuding wounds. - Can be used for chronic and acute wounds. - Can be used for local or systemic infection. - Can be left on the wound for up to 7 days. The product consists of: - Semi-permeable protective film - Grid for wound sizing - Self-adhesive hydrocolloid matrix - Transparent protective film and turquoise protective flaps Dimensions: 15x15 cm The product reduces wound odour and is sterilised by irradiation. If allergic reactions or side effects are suspected, consult your doctor or nurse. Important notes are that diabetic and infected wounds should be regularly checked and treated by a doctor. The use of other cleansing agents has not been studied. The dressing should not be used if the packaging is damaged and should be kept out of direct sunlight. Warnings: - Reuse of this single-use product may be hazardous to patient health. - Product use may be affected by reprocessing, cleaning, disinfection and/or sterilisation. Application: - Clean and dry the wound and wound margin according to the guidelines. - Select dressing that overlaps the wound edges by at least 1 to 2 centimetres. - Use turquoise protective flaps to avoid touching the self-adhesive side. - Remove the transparent protective film and place the self-adhesive side on the wound. - Remove the turquoise protective flaps one by one and apply the dressing smoothly. Remove: - Change dressing if clinically indicated, gel blister visibly approaches edge of product or after 7 days. - Gently lift corners of product away from wound.
