Veno-biomo retard tablets are a herbal medicinal product for the treatment of complaints of diseases of the leg veins characterised by swollen legs, varicose veins, a feeling of heaviness and tension, pain, itching, tiredness in the legs and cramps in the calves. The tablets contain a dry extract of horse chestnut seeds as the active ingredient. Side effects such as gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness, itching and allergic reactions are possible but rare. The medicinal product should not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. A doctor should be consulted before use in the event of certain skin inflammations, phlebitis or hardening of the tissue, severe pain, skin ulcers or sudden swelling of the legs. The dosage for adults is 1 sustained-release tablet 2 times a day before meals. The medicine should be taken with liquid and can be used long-term. Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the medicine.
