Traumaplant pain cream is a herbal medicinal product used for the external treatment of blunt injuries such as bruises, sprains and strains as well as muscle and joint pain. The cream contains a high-dose comfrey preparation that has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties. It should be applied to the affected skin and can be covered with a bandage. The duration of application should not exceed three weeks. The dosage varies according to age, with children 6-12 years old applying the cream up to three times a day and children 12 years and older and adults applying it several times a day. Side effects are usually rare and may include skin redness or irritation. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended. People with an allergy to comfrey or other ingredients of the medicine should not use it. If symptoms persist or recur regularly, a doctor should be consulted.
