Voltaren Schmerzgel forte 23.2 mg/g Gel is an over-the-counter pain gel used for acute bruises, strains or sprains due to blunt trauma. It contains the active ingredient diclofenac-N-ethylethanamine. The pain gel acts locally and symptom-based, relieving pain, fighting inflammation and promoting healing. It can relieve pain for up to 12 hours and has a cooling effect. The gel is applied to the painful area twice a day and massaged in gently. It is suitable for young people over 14 years of age and adults. It contains propylene glycol and butylated hydroxytoluene and should not be used for more than three weeks. Side effects may include skin reactions such as itching, redness or rash.
