Instructions for use for VOLTAREN Pain gel forte 23.2 mg/g, 180 g
Volatren Schmerzgel forte 23.2 mg/g is a gel for the local, symptomatic treatment of pain in acute bruises, strains or sprains resulting from blunt trauma, for example sports and accident injuries. It contains the active ingredient diclofenac-N-ethylethanamine and has a double concentration of diclofenac, which means a stronger analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. The gel can relieve pain for up to 12 hours by reducing pain, fighting inflammation and promoting healing. It is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over, but is only intended for short-term treatment. Voltaren Pain Gel forte is easy to use and absorbs quickly. It contains propylene glycol, butylated hydroxytoluene and a perfume containing eucalyptus. Side effects may include skin reactions such as itching, redness, rash and eczema. It should not be used for longer than three weeks and should not be applied to open skin areas. The package leaflet should be read before use and a doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist.Medicines Reviews

You should always have this ointment in your medicine cabinet! I've only ever had the simple Voltaren cream - which also works very well - but Voltaren Forte helps immediately and reliably with really severe pain. The pain is relieved for many hours, which at least allows you to sleep well.

I usually only buy the 30g pack so that I have a realistic chance of using up the ointment before it spoils. The ointment helps, smells nice and spreads well. However, it could be absorbed a little quicker. I will definitely buy this ointment again as soon as my tube is empty.
