Directions for use of the article Proff Schmerzcreme: Proff pain cream contains the active substance ibuprofen and is used for the external or supportive treatment of various complaints. These include muscle pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatic complaints in the joints, inflammatory rheumatic spinal disorders, swelling and inflammation of the soft tissues near the joints, irritation in spinal disorders, back pain, lumbago, painful frozen shoulder, sports and accident injuries such as bruises, sprains and strains. Before use, please note that Proff pain cream must not be used on open injuries, inflammations or infections of the skin or on eczema or mucous membranes. Use in children and adolescents under 14 years of age is also not recommended. In case of asthma or hypersensitivity to painkillers and rheumatism medicines as well as other allergic reactions, Proff pain cream should be used with caution. The cream is applied to the affected skin area(s) 3-4 times a day and rubbed in gently. The recommended dose is one 4-10 cm strand of cream. The maximum total daily dose is 20 g of cream. The duration of application should usually not exceed 2-3 weeks. Side effects such as local skin reactions like redness, itching, burning or rash may occur. Rarely, airway constriction may also occur. Medical advice should be sought in case of side effects. Proff pain cream should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 25°C.
