Proff pain cream 5% is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine for external use. It contains the active substance ibuprofen in a concentration of 5%. The areas of application include support for muscular rheumatism, degenerative painful joint diseases (arthrosis), inflammatory rheumatic diseases of the joints, swelling and inflammation of the soft tissues close to the joints, frozen shoulder, low back pain as well as sports and accident injuries such as bruises, sprains and strains. The cream should not be used for longer than 3 weeks. There are certain groups of people who should not use the medicine, including people with allergies to ibuprofen or other ingredients of the medicine and pregnant women in the last trimester of pregnancy. People with certain diseases or allergies should use the medicine under medical supervision. The cream is applied to the skin and massaged in gently. Possible side effects are local skin reactions such as redness, itching, burning, skin rash as well as airway constriction in rare cases.
