Inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums in the mouth and throat can be very painful for the affected person.The causes are varied and often stem from gum injuries—such as those caused by wearing braces or following oral surgery—or from inadequate oral hygiene.Thorough oral care and supportive antibacterial treatment are important to reduce the risk of the infection spreading.

Indication

Hexoral® Solution for Inflammation is used for the temporary reduction of the bacterial count in the mouth and throat and for temporary adjunctive treatment of bacterial inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa, as well as following periodontal surgery, in children aged 2 years and older, adolescents, and adults.

Active ingredients / Ingredients

Active ingredient: Hexetidine.Other ingredients: purified water, ethanol 96% (v/v), polysorbate 80, citric acid monohydrate, sodium saccharin, levomenthol, azorubine, sodium calcium edetate, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), eucalyptus oil.

Contraindications

This product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients listed above.

Dosage

For conditions affecting the oral cavity, rinse for approximately 30 seconds with 10 to 15 ml of undiluted solution.For conditions affecting the throat, gargle with 10 to 15 ml for 30 seconds.Unless otherwise prescribed, use twice daily, preferably in the morning and evening after meals.

Administration

The medicinal product is always used undiluted, in the morning and evening after meals.It is suitable only for use in the mouth and throat area and must not be swallowed.Therefore, the medicinal product should only be used if the patient is able to spit out the solution after rinsing or gargling.

Contains azorubine, eucalyptus oil, levomenthol, and 5.4% v/v alcohol.No prescription is required for this product.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer carton.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
