Pollicrom 20 mg/ml Nasal Spray is an anti-allergic medicine used to treat allergic rhinitis (rhinitis) and hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) throughout the year. The nasal spray contains the active substance sodium cromoglicate (Ph.Eur.) in a concentration of 20 mg/ml. It works by protecting the mucous membranes from allergic reactions and stabilising the mast cells. In doing so, it prevents the release of the body's own messenger substances that can lead to inflammation. The nasal spray should be used up to four times a day, as needed, with one spray per nostril being sufficient. The duration of use depends on the symptoms and contact with the allergenic substances. Pollicrom Nasal Spray should not be used if you are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or other components of the medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Possible side effects include irritation of the nose, such as sneezing, nosebleeds or headaches.
