Mode of action
Cetirizine suppresses the effects of histamine and prostaglandins, which act as messengers in our body, in two different ways.Firstly, it inhibits the release of these messenger substances from the mast cells, which are part of our body's defense cells.Secondly, it displaces the messenger substances from their binding sites, the so-called receptors. This breaks the chain of allergic reactions.Histamine and prostaglandins play an important role in causing inflammation and allergic reactions in our body.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
Cetirizine Aristo® allergy juice 1 mg/ml oral solution contains the active ingredient cetirizine dihydrochloride.Cetirizine dihydrochloride prevents the messenger histamine, which is responsible for allergic symptoms, from connecting with the receptors and developing its effect. These active ingredients are called antihistamines and are suitable for treating acute complaints.
Other ingredients: glycerol, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph.Eur.), propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, cherry flavor etc., sodium acetate trihydrate, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing) (Ph.Eur.), acetic acid 99%, purified water.
