Information for use with the article Finalgon Warming Ointment DUO 4 mg/g + 25 mg/g Ointment: Finalgon Warming Ointment DUO contains the active ingredients nonivamide and nicoboxil. It is used to promote skin circulation in muscle and joint complaints, to treat acute lower back pain without neuropathic origin and to promote skin circulation before capillary blood sampling. It should be noted that the ointment contains sorbic acid and a fragrance with allergenic properties. The dosage and application instructions state that the ointment should be applied thinly to the affected skin area and spread thoroughly. For blood collection, 1-2 cm of ointment is applied and massaged in beforehand. The maximum duration of application is not limited. Side effects such as burning, reddening of the skin, itching, feeling of heat and skin rash may occur. Persons with hypersensitivity to the ingredients, skin diseases, skin inflammations or wounds should not use the ointment. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women must not use the ointment. Interactions with other medicines may occur.
