Areas of application

The preparation is an anti-inflammatory agent for the skin based on sulfonated shale oils.It is used for localized, small-area bacterial skin diseases for which sodium bituminosulfonate is suitable, such as impetigo.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The gel contains 200 mg of sodium bituminosulfonate, light as an active ingredient.Excipients include carbomer, sodium hydroxide, perfume oil (Kräuter Natura), propylene glycol and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to sulfonated shale oils such as ammonium and/or sodium bituminosulfonate or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also not permitted if you have a tendency to eczematous or allergic reactions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Dosage and application

The preparation can be used in children from the age of four months and in adults.It should be applied to the affected skin twice a day and, depending on the location of the inflammation, can be covered with a bandage.The duration of treatment should not be longer than 14 days.In the event of skin reactions, the preparation should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted if necessary.In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water.Forgotten applications should not be compensated for by a double dose.

Patient information

Particular caution is required to avoid contact with eyes.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The medicine must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding as there is currently no sufficient information about the risks.Possible effects on the unborn child, fertility or excretion of the active substance into breast milk have not been investigated.
