Application

The usual use of iodine wound ointment is by applying it to the damaged area once or several times a day.A bandage can be applied afterwards if necessary.The brown color of the ointment is an indicator of its effectiveness, while discoloration indicates exhaustion of effectiveness.Use should be continued as long as signs of inflammation persist.If the symptoms do not improve after several days of use or recur, a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications

Pregnancy
