Aspecton Nasal Spray is a medical product used for the supportive treatment of rhinitis and nasal congestion. It contains a hypertonic sea salt solution that cleanses and moisturises the nasal mucosa and helps to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa to allow improved nasal breathing. The nasal spray contains no preservatives or propellants and is also suitable for children aged 8 years and over. It is recommended to spray 1-2 sprays into each nostril several times a day as needed. The duration of use can be up to 14 days and a doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist. There are no known interactions with other medicines and possible side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions and increased bronchospasm. The nasal spray should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 25 °C at room temperature. The protective cap should be removed before use and the spray head should be wiped dry after each use. The shelf life is 6 months after opening. In case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients or respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma, the nasal spray should not be used.
