EquiDigest is a dietary supplement for horses that has been specifically developed to support digestion and help with chronic colon dysfunction.The product contains the probiotic yeast Levucell SC 20, also known as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which promotes the growth of fiber-degrading colon bacteria and prevents over-acidification of the appendix.No prescription is required for this product.

EquiDigest is particularly suitable for horses with a tendency to diarrhea and feces, horses prone to colic, poor feed converters, as well as in stressful situations and feed changes.The easily digestible fibers in EquiDigest include alfalfa flour, oat bran, apple pomace, carrots, milk thistle seeds, caraway seeds, rhubarb root, licorice, gentian, turmeric and fennel seeds.

Mode of action and ingredients

The probiotic live yeast Levucell SC 20 promotes the growth of vital colon bacteria and prevents overacidification of the appendix.Milk thistle seeds, gentian and rhubarb roots stimulate digestive activity, while chamomile flowers and peppermint leaves soothe the intestines.Caraway and fennel relax the intestines, and turmeric and celandine regulate intestinal function.Liquorice and blackberry leaves soothe the stomach and intestinal mucosa.

Composition

EquiDigest consists of alfalfa flour, oat bran, apple pomace, carrots, vegetable oil (thistle, refined), milk thistle seeds (2.7%), caraway seeds (2.2%), rhubarb root (2.2%), chamomile flowers (2.2%), mint (2.2%), licorice (2.2%), celandine (2.2%), curcuma (2.2%), fennel seeds(2.2%), blackberry leaves (2.2%) and gentian root (0.5%).

The analytical components of EquiDigest include crude protein (11.9%), crude fat (6.2%), sodium (0.3%), crude fiber (19.4%) and crude ash (7.4%).

As a digestibility promoter, EquiDigest contains Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM 1-1077 (Levucell SC 20) with at least 6.6 x 10^11 CFU.

Feeding recommendation

EquiDigest is administered through food.The recommended dosage is 15 g twice daily for horses and 10 g twice daily for foals and ponies.A slightly heaped measuring spoon corresponds to approximately 15 g.If necessary, the dose can be increased to three times a day.The recommended feeding period is initially up to 6 months.It is recommended to seek veterinary advice before feeding or extending the feeding period.

Storage instructions

EquiDigest should not be stored above 25 °C and in a dry place.The product must be used up after opening.The shelf life is 24 months.The commercial form is a 1000 g can.
