Cetirizine axicur 10 mg film-coated tablets are an anti-allergy medicine containing the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride. It is used to relieve nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and to relieve hives (urticaria) in adults and children aged 6 years and over. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with a glass of liquid. The recommended dosage is 10 mg once daily for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and 5 mg twice daily for children between 6 and 12 years of age. In patients with kidney weakness, a dose of 5 mg once daily is recommended. In case of overdose, side effects may include diarrhoea, dizziness and increased heart rate.
