Information for use with the article Cetirizine axicur 10 mg Film-coated tablets: Cetirizine axicur 10 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride, which belongs to the group of medicines called antihistamines. They are used to treat hay fever, year-round allergies such as dust or pet allergies and swelling, redness and itching of the skin in adults and children aged 6 and over. The medicine also relieves associated symptoms such as sneezing, runny and stuffy nose, itchy, red, watery eyes and skin rash. The recommended dose is one tablet daily for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and half a tablet twice daily for children between 6 and 12 years of age. It is not recommended for the treatment of children under 6 years of age. In patients with renal impairment, the dose should be adjusted accordingly. The tablets should be taken unchewed with a glass of liquid. If the effect is too weak or too strong or if there is no improvement after 2 days, a doctor should be consulted.
