The active ingredient clotrimazole is used to treat fungal infections of the vagina.This inhibits the growth and reproduction of fungal cells, such as yeast, as well as a number of other fungi and some bacteria.Clotrimazole acis® 3 Combi is indicated for infectious discharge caused by yeast fungi, inflammation of the vagina and labia caused by fungi - mostly yeast fungi of the genus Candida - as well as superimposed infections with bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole.

Clotrimazole acis 3 combination pack contains the active ingredient clotrimazole.One vaginal tablet contains 200 mg clotrimazole.1 g of cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole.Other ingredients: Vaginal tablets: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, adipic acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, stearic acid [pflanzlich], magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.) [pflanzlich], highly dispersed silicon dioxide, polysorbate 80. Cream: octyldodecanol (Ph.Eur.), cetylstearyl alcohol (Ph.Eur.) [pflanzlich],Cetyl palmitate (Ph.Eur.), sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, benzyl alcohol, purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of Clotrimazole acis 3 combination pack: Vaginal tablets: Vaginal use.Insert a vaginal tablet as deeply as possible into the vagina once a day - in the evening - for 3 consecutive days.This is best done lying on your back with your legs slightly pulled up.Cream: Use on the skin.In the case of infections of the labia (Candida vulvitis) and adjacent areas, you should apply the cream thinly to the relevant skin areas (external genitals up to the anus) 2 - 3 times a day and rub it in.

Application with applicator: The applicator piston is pulled out as far as it will go;then the vaginal tablet is removed from the aluminum packaging and placed in the applicator mold.Lie on your back and then carefully insert the applicator as deep into the vagina as possible.By pressing the piston of the applicator, the previously inserted vaginal tablet is released and remains in the vagina.The applicator can now be removed.Remain relaxed for another 10 to 15 minutes so that the active ingredient of Clotrimazole acis 3 Combi can spread well into the vagina.The applicator is intended for multiple use;It must therefore be cleaned thoroughly under running, warm (not boiling) water after each use.To do this, the piston is pulled out of the applicator past the stop and both parts are cleaned separately.These are then dried with a clean cloth and reassembled as before.

Use without an applicator: The vaginal tablet is carefully inserted as deep as possible into the vagina with a clean finger.

Intake

Vaginal tablets: Vaginal use.Insert a vaginal tablet as deeply as possible into the vagina once a day - in the evening - for 3 consecutive days.This is best done lying on your back with your legs slightly pulled up.

Note: If the vagina is dry, the vaginal tablet may not dissolve completely.This can be seen from the fact that solid chunks are excreted, e.g. B. located in underwear.For this case, other products (e.g. vaginal cream) are available.

Patient information

Warnings and precautions: Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.The following describes when you can only use the medicine under certain conditions and only with particular caution.If you experience fever (temperatures of 38°C and above), abdominal pain, back pain, bad-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, vaginal bleeding and/or associated with shoulder pain, you should consult a doctor.Please consult your doctor if the disease occurs for the first time;if you have had more than four such fungal infections in the past 12 months.

Note: If the product and latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms) are used at the same time, the functionality of these products may be reduced and the safety of these products may be impaired.

Ability to drive and use machines: There is no experience regarding impairment of the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy: Clotrimazole should not be used in early pregnancy out of caution.In the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy, the preparation can be used on the express instructions of the doctor.If treatment is essential during pregnancy, treatment should only be given as directed by the doctor and should be carried out without an applicator.If treated with the applicator during pregnancy, there is a possibility that the amniotic sac or the unborn child could be injured.To reduce the risk of developing an infection, you must wash your hands thoroughly before inserting the vaginal tablets.If a yeast infection has been detected in the vagina, care should be taken to clean up the birth tract under medical supervision, especially in the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy.

Breastfeeding: If you are breastfeeding, the product can be used as directed by your doctor.

Notes

Vaginal tablet contains polysorbate.Cream contains cetostearyl alcohol, polysorbate and benzyl alcohol.If Clotrimazol acis® 3 Combi and latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms) are used at the same time, the functionality of these products may be reduced due to the excipients they contain (particularly stearate) and thus the safety of these products may be impaired.The effect is temporary and only occurs during treatment.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
