Information for use with the article Levocetirizine AL 5 mg Film-coated tablets: Levocetirizine AL is an anti-allergy medicine and is used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever, year-round allergic rhinitis and chronic hives. The film-coated tablets contain the active substance levocetirizine dihydrochloride. The usual dose for adults and children 6 years and older is one film-coated tablet daily. Children under 6 years of age should not take levocetirizine AL . A lower dose may be prescribed for mild to moderate renal insufficiency. The duration of treatment depends on the symptoms and is determined individually by the doctor. In the event of an overdose, symptoms such as confusion, diarrhoea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, itching, restlessness, drowsiness, drowsiness, rapid heartbeat, tremor and difficulty urinating may occur. In this case, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted immediately. Levocetirizine AL must not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or if there is severely impaired kidney function. A doctor should be consulted before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Side effects may include headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, tiredness, fatigue and abdominal pain in adolescents over 12 years of age and adults.
