Mode of action

The Mucosolvan extended-release capsules once a day contain the active ingredient ambroxol, which was developed based on the Indian lungwort.Ambroxol dissolves thick secretions, dilates the bronchi and prevents the formation of new mucus.Since its introduction in 1979, ambroxol has proven to be a well-tolerated active ingredient against coughs.

Dosage

The Mucosolvan 1x daily extended-release capsules are taken once a day in the morning immediately after getting up.Swallow the capsule with a glass of water and rely on the long-lasting effects for the rest of the day.The capsules are suitable for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over.If there is no improvement in symptoms after five days, we recommend that you seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

The prolonged-release capsules are taken whole with or without a meal and plenty of liquid, such as water, tea or fruit juice.

Pregnancy

The active ingredient is ambroxol hydrochloride, also known as ambroxol for short.One hard capsule, prolonged release, contains 75 mg ambroxol hydrochloride.The other ingredients are capsule contents: crospovidone, carnauba wax, stearyl alcohol, magnesium stearate and capsule shell: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron oxides (E 172) and capsule labeling: shellac, titanium dioxide (E 171).
