Vagisan Myko Combi 3-Day Therapy is an over-the-counter anti-fungal medication used to treat yeast infections of the vagina and external genital area, usually caused by Candida albicans.The product consists of a combination of vaginal suppositories and a cream.The suppositories are used vaginally while the cream is applied to the skin in the external genital area.

Mode of action

The Vagisan Myko Kombi 3-day therapy vaginal suppositories contain a special cremolum galenic.After insertion into the vagina, the suppository melts due to body heat and forms a cream together with the vaginal fluid.This cream not only works against fungi, but also relieves the common symptoms of vaginal thrush, such as burning and itching.The combination pack also contains a cream for use in the external intimate area.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The vaginal suppositories contain 200 mg clotrimazole as well as the excipients cetostearyl alcohol, hard fat, PEG-20 glyceryl stearate and polyacrylic acid sodium salt.The cream contains 20 mg of clotrimazole per gram as well as the excipients (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, benzyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, cetylstearyl alcohol, sodium citrate-2-water, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate and purified water.

Application

The vaginal suppositories should be inserted as deeply as possible into the vagina once a day in the evening for three consecutive days.It is advisable to wear panty liners during use to avoid greasy stains on underwear.The cream is applied thinly to the external genital area twice a day for three days and rubbed in lightly.If necessary, a second treatment can be carried out over a further three days.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.No prescription is required for this product.
