Product properties:

BACTIGRAS is a cotton gauze dressing with a special weave (leno weave) and an impregnation of white soft paraffin. It contains an antiseptic (0.5% chlorhexidine acetate) with a broad spectrum of activity. This allows the dressing to be used for infection prophylaxis and treatment. BACTIGRAS serves as an anti-adhesive between the wound and the secondary dressing, making dressing changes atraumatic for the patient. The open dressing structure of the cotton gauze allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing. The special weave prevents fraying when the dressing is cut.

Field of application:

BACTIGRAS is for external use only and is suitable for wounds at risk of infection or infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotic therapy. The dressing can also be used for the management of minor burns and scalds as well as wounds with skin loss (lacerations, abrasions, excisions and graft wounds).
