BACTIGRAS is an antiseptic ointment compress with a broad spectrum of effects.It is a soft paraffin gauze dressing containing chlorhexidine.This dressing serves as an adhesive protection between the wound and a secondary dressing, which enables atraumatic dressing changes for the patient.The open dressing structure allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing.A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the bandage. BACTIGRAS is effective against a broad spectrum of germs and therefore reduces the risk of germs settling in the wound.

BACTIGRAS contains an antiseptic, namely 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate, which has a broad spectrum of action.Therefore, the bandage can be used both for infection prophylaxis and infection treatment.Due to the white paraffin coating, BACTIGRAS serves as an adhesive protection between the wound and the secondary dressing, which enables atraumatic dressing changes.The open dressing structure of the cotton gauze allows wound exudate to easily drain into an absorbent secondary dressing, such as an absorbent dressing.A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the bandage.

Area of application

BACTIGRAS is intended exclusively for external use.It is suitable for a variety of wounds that are at risk of infection or are already infected, in conjunction with systemic antibiotic therapy. BACTIGRAS can be used to treat minor burns and scalds, wounds with skin loss such as lacerations, abrasions, excision and graft wounds, and to treat leg ulcers.
