Nasic Neo for children is a nasal spray that is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucous membrane in the event of a cold. It contains the active ingredients xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol. Xylometazoline hydrochloride constricts the blood vessels and thus causes swelling of the nasal mucosa, while dexpanthenol promotes wound healing and protects the mucosa. The nasal spray is also used for the supportive treatment of damage to the skin and mucous membranes, episodic runny nose, as well as for the treatment of nasal breathing obstruction after surgical procedures on the nose. It can also be used for rhinitis associated with acute inflammation of the sinuses. Nasic Neo for children is intended for children between 2 and 6 years of age. Before use, children over 6 years or adults should consult their doctor or pharmacist. The nasal spray should not be used for more than 7 days and should only be used again after a break of several days. It should also not be used in infants and young children under 2 years of age. Side effects may occur with use, including hypersensitivity reactions, restlessness, insomnia, headache and nosebleeds. In the event of an overdose, symptoms such as pupil constriction, fever, convulsions, heart and circulatory disorders may occur. If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. The nasal spray should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. It should be stored in the original packaging.
