How does nystatin work?

Biofanal® combination pack can optionally be used for 3-day short therapy or 6-day therapy.With the 3-day therapy, two vaginal tablets are inserted deep into the vagina in the evening before going to bed for three days in a row.With the 6-day therapy, one vaginal tablet is inserted deep into the vagina in the evening before going to bed for six days in a row.In addition, the ointment is applied not too thinly to the genital area twice a day until it has completely healed (2-4 weeks).Please wash your hands before use.

Even during pregnancy?

Nystatin does not cross the placenta.Due to its molecular size, the active ingredient is hardly absorbed and does not enter the systemic circulation.Its good tolerability makes Biofanal® the treatment of choice for vaginal thrush during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The application is safe and safe at all times.

What should you take into account?

Notes:

The ointment can affect the safety of condoms, which is why additional contraception methods should be used during the treatment period.Treating your partner with the ointment at the same time can be useful to avoid renewed infections.Any yellow discoloration of laundry caused by Biofanal® can be easily washed out.

Hygiene:

In the intimate area, clear water should be used for washing and, if necessary, a cleaning product suitable for the vaginal environment.Moisture caused by sweating provides good conditions for the spread of fungi, so it is important to wear underwear that is breathable and washable at 60 °C.It is important to always wipe from front to back after using the toilet.
