Active substance: Bromhexine hydrochloride. Indications: For expectorant treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with thick mucus. Bromhexin Hermes Arzneimittel® 12 mg Tablets are a broncho-cretolytic for loosening mucus in respiratory diseases with thick mucus. How should Bromhexin Hermes Arzneimittel® 12 mg Tablets be taken? Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age is 1 tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 36 mg bromhexine hydrochloride daily). Medicines with a lower active substance content are available for children under 14 years of age. The tablets should be taken after meals with plenty of liquid. Duration of use: The duration of use depends on the type and severity of the disease and should be decided by the attending doctor.
