Area of application

Nasodirect nasal spray with Captomucil is used to treat respiratory diseases that are associated with increased mucus production.These include colds, runny nose, acute or chronic rhinosinusitis and allergic rhinitis.

Mode of action

Mucin is a protein that occurs naturally in human mucus.However, overproduction can lead to a solidification of mucus and thus nasal congestion.Captomucil® is able to reduce the viscosity of excess mucus and promote rapid and effective drainage of mucus.Studies have shown that the expectorant effect of Captomucil® occurs within 30 seconds.The hypertonic solution enhances the decongestant effect of Captomucil® by further increasing the flow properties of excess mucus.

Nasodirect nasal spray with Captomucil contains the following ingredients: Captomucil®, water, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, mint flavor, dexpanthenol and sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Dosage

The recommended use for Nasodirect nasal spray with Captomucil is as follows: Adults and children over 12 years of age can use 1-2 sprays per nostril, 3-4 times daily.Children 6 to 12 years old can use 1-2 sprays per nostril, up to 2 times daily.For children under 12 years of age, the product should only be used after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
