Areas of application

The solution is suitable for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations in dogs when a repellent effect against sand flies, biting flies and mosquitoes is also required.It is effective against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, sand flies and biting flies.

Fleas

The solution treats and prevents flea infestations with Ctenocephalides felis and prevents flea infestations with Ctenocephalides canis.One treatment protects against new flea infestations for 4 weeks.The veterinary medicinal product may also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis if previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Ticks

The solution treats and prevents tick infestations with Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.It kills ticks and has a repellent effect against ticks for 4 weeks after treatment.The defensive effectiveness against Dermacentor reticulatus begins on day 7 after treatment and lasts up to 4 weeks.

Biting flies and sand flies

The solution has a repellent effect against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 3 weeks and against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) for 4 weeks.It kills sand flies and mosquitoes for 3 weeks and reduces the risk of Leishmania infantum infection through sand fly transmission for up to 4 weeks.

Biting flies

The solution has a repellent effect and kills the common biting fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks.

Dosage for each animal species, type and duration of use

The solution is dripped onto the skin.The pipette size depends on the weight of the dog.Dogs over 60 kg require a combination of two pipettes of the appropriate size.

Active ingredients and other ingredients

The solution contains the active ingredients fipronil and permethrin as well as the other ingredient butylhydroxytoluene (E321).The exact quantities depend on the pipette size.

Instructions for correct use

The application is unsuitable if dogs and cats live in the household at the same time.Choose the pipette size that is appropriate for the dog's weight and apply the solution to two areas that the dog cannot reach.Remove the pipette from the packaging, cut off the tip and apply half of the contents to the back of the neck, midway between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades.Repeat this process at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades.

Special storage instructions

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children, do not store above 25 °C and store in the original container.Do not use the veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the carton.
