Atrosia capsules are a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) and are used to support dietary management of osteoarthritis pain. The capsules contain curcuma extract with optimised bioavailability, special proteins from eggshell membrane (NEM®) as well as thiamine, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. These ingredients are designed to positively influence physiological processes in the inflammatory process. Atrosia is suitable for people whose quality of life is limited by pain, who frequently take painkillers and do not tolerate them well, who want to reduce the intake of chemical painkillers or who are not allowed to take chemical painkillers because of other medications. The dosage recommendation is to take 2 capsules daily with food and some liquid. After the symptoms have improved, the dosage can be reduced to 1 capsule daily. Atrosia is well tolerated and can be used long-term, but should not be the sole source of nutrition and should only be used under medical supervision. The product is lactose and gluten free and suitable for an ovo-vegetarian diet. People with liver and biliary tract diseases as well as gallstone disease should not use Atrosia, nor should other products containing vitamin B6 be used together with Atrosia. UseNEMin pregnant women and children should be agreed with a doctor. The list of ingredients includes curcuma extract, natural eggshell membrane, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose as a coating agent, thiamine, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and magnesium salts of fatty acids as separating agents. Special ingredients are the curcuma special extract Longvida® and the special extract NEM® from eggshell membrane.
