Haemoprocan 100 mg film-coated tablets are used to treat iron deficiency conditions. It is used in adults by taking one film-coated tablet twice a day. It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. People with kidney or liver disease should ask their doctor for dosage recommendations. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed in the morning on an empty stomach or one hour before meals with sufficient liquid to prevent damage to the mucous membrane. The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease, usually at least 8 weeks. After normalisation of the blood values, the treatment should be continued for another 6-8 weeks to replenish the iron supply. It is important to consult your doctor or pharmacist if you think the effect is too strong or too weak. In case of an overdose, you should inform your doctor. If you forget to take it, continue taking it at the next prescribed time and do not take twice the amount. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the ingredients and certain forms of anaemia.
