Tapfi 25 mg/25 mg is a patch containing active ingredients for surface anaesthesia of intact skin. It contains the active ingredients lidocaine and prilocaine, which belong to the group of local anaesthetics. The patch is applied to the skin before certain medical procedures to relieve pain on the skin. For example, it can be used before inserting needles or minor surgery. The duration of application depends on the type of procedure and should be determined in consultation with the doctor. The patch is applied to clean, dry and hairless skin and should be applied at least 1 hour before the planned procedure. It must not be cut or otherwise dissected. In case of overdose, symptoms may include methaemoglobinaemia, nervous system disorders and cardiovascular problems. Side effects may include skin redness, water retention or itching at the site of application. The patch should be kept out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
