Tapfi 25 mg/25 mg is a patch containing active ingredients for surface anaesthesia of intact skin. It contains the active ingredients lidocaine and prilocaine, which belong to the group of local anaesthetics. The patch is applied to the skin before certain medical procedures, such as needle insertions and minor surgery, to relieve pain. The duration of application varies depending on the type of procedure and should be determined in consultation with the doctor. The patch should not be applied to cuts, abrasions, wounds, rashes, eczema, near the eyes or in the mouth. Possible side effects include skin redness, water retention, itching, pain at the application site and methaemoglobinaemia. Before use, possible allergic reactions to local anaesthetics should be considered. Pregnant and lactating women should consult a doctor before use. The patch should be stored out of the reach of children and at temperatures below 25 °C. Disposal should be in accordance with local regulations. The patch must not be disposed of in waste water.
