Directions for use of the article Desloratadine Heumann 5 mg Film-Coated Tablets Desloratadine Heumann 5 mg Film-Coated Tablets are used to improve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever, dust mite allergy). Symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itching in the palate and itchy, red or watery eyes. The medicine can also be taken to improve the symptoms of urticaria (skin rash), which causes itching and welts. Before taking Desloratadine Heumann, you should note that it should not be taken if you are allergic to desloratadine or loratadine, or have impaired kidney function, or have a history or family history of seizures. It is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy and breast-feeding. The dosage for adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults is one tablet once a day, regardless of the meal. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The duration of treatment depends on the type of allergic rhinitis. If necessary, a doctor should be consulted.
