Desloratadine Heumann 5 mg film-coated tablets are an anti-allergic medicine used to treat allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever) and hives. The recommended dosage is one tablet once a day for adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults. The tablet should be taken with liquid, regardless of the meal. The duration of use is determined by the doctor. In case of overdose, headache and fatigue may occur, in which case a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or if there is impaired kidney function or a history of seizures in the patient or family, especially in children. Use is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Possible side effects include dry mouth, headache and fatigue. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted if any disturbances of well-being occur.
