The mosquito® tick hooks offer a quick and easy method for gently removing ticks.The hook is suitable for ticks of any size and at any bite site.The gentle removal means the tick is not crushed, which significantly reduces the risk of transmitting pathogens such as Lyme disease and babesiosis.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

1. Select the appropriate hook according to the tick size.

2. Insert the notch of the hook from the side under the tick.

3. Turn the hook clockwise or counterclockwise until the tick comes off.

4. Then disinfect the puncture site thoroughly.

Material and properties

The mosquito® tick hooks are made of polyoxymethylene (POM), a recyclable plastic that can be burned without producing environmentally harmful gases. POM is durable, resistant to most solvents and unbreakable.The hooks are long-lasting and can be reused several times.Disinfection with alcohol or sterilization in an autoclave at 140 degrees Celsius is possible.
