Vomex A sustained-release capsules contain the active ingredient dimenhydrinate and are used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting of various causes, especially motion sickness. The capsules are suitable for adolescents aged 14 years and over and adults weighing more than 56 kg. It is recommended to take one capsule in the morning and one in the evening, at least 8 hours apart. The maximum daily dose is 2 capsules. The capsules should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The duration of use is usually short-term and should not exceed two weeks. If symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted. In the event of an overdose of Vomex A sustained release capsules, serious symptoms may occur and a doctor should be contacted immediately. There are several contraindications for which the medicine should not be used, including hypersensitivity to the ingredients, bronchial asthma and certain eye diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor as the medicine may have effects on the unborn child. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, drowsiness and visual disturbances.
