Contraindications

Before taking a test, always read the instructions provided by the manufacturers of the medications you are taking.Medications containing hCG and certain rare diseases can cause false positive results.Ectopic pregnancies or a recent pregnancy, even if not carried to term, may produce misleading results.If you are near or in menopause, you may get a false "Pregnant" result even though you are not pregnant.Hormonal therapies with clomiphene citrate, common painkillers, alcohol, antibiotics or birth control pills should have no effect on the test.If you get unexpected results, you should contact your doctor.
