Doppelherz® Fett-Binder is a Class IIa medical device that is certified according to the provisions of Directive 93/42/EWG .No prescription is required for this product.The active ingredient OMTEC 50® in the capsules has a high lipid binding capacity and helps to reduce the absorption of fat and calories from food.It supports a weight-reducing diet or can be used for weight control in combination with a fat-conscious diet. OMTEC 50® forms a gel-like substance in the stomach that mixes with food and binds fat.These bound fats are not digested and do not enter the metabolism, but are excreted.

Doppelherz® Fat Binder is suitable for the treatment and prevention of overweight and obesity as well as for weight control as part of a fat-conscious diet.The active ingredient OMTEC 50® reduces fat and calorie intake from food.The product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Each capsule of Doppelherz® fat binder contains 500 mg OMTEC 50®.Other ingredients include magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and hypromellose (HPMC), which makes up the capsule shell.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

To support a weight loss diet, it is recommended to take 2-3 capsules twice daily 15 minutes before a main meal with a large glass of water (at least 250 ml).For weight control as part of a fat-conscious diet, 1-2 capsules twice a day 15 minutes before a main meal with a large glass of water (at least 250 ml) are sufficient.The capsules should not be chewed or bitten.

In order not to fall short of the daily requirement for fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K as well as essential fatty acids, Doppelherz® Fat Binder should be taken a maximum of two of the three main meals.The third meal should contain these vitamins and fatty acids.If necessary, a multivitamin preparation can cover the vitamin requirements.The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.Overdoses of more than 6 capsules per day do not improve the effect, but can increase possible side effects.

Doppelherz® Fat Binder should not be taken for longer than 30 days in a row.After a break of 4 days, the intake can be resumed.
