Ginkgo biloba - 1 A Pharma 120 mg is a herbal medicinal product for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. Each film-coated tablet contains 120 mg dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves. Adults and elderly patients should take one tablet 2 times a day, preferably in the morning and evening. The intake should last at least 8 weeks. In case of an overdose, symptoms such as headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and lower abdominal pain may occur. Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, during pregnancy and lactation, and in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients is not recommended. Side effects may include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and lower abdominal pain. Ginkgo biloba leaves contain active substances such as ginkgolides, bilobalide and flavonoids, which improve cerebral blood circulation and promote the transmission of information between nerve cells.
