Ginkgo biloba - 1 A Pharma 120 mg film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The active substance in the tablets is ginkgo biloba leaf dry extract. The recommended dosage is 1 tablet 2 times daily for adults and elderly patients. The tablets should be swallowed whole, not chewed, and taken with liquid. The duration of treatment is at least 8 weeks. Possible side effects are headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and lower abdominal pain. The medicine must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients and in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If a dose is forgotten, the next dose should be taken at the usual time, not a double dose. The medicine should be kept away from heat and out of the reach of children.
