Sorbalgon^® Classic offers compresses in three different sizes for needs-based and economical use.The compresses are made from natural fibers obtained from seaweed.They are characterized by fast and strong absorbency.Alginate absorbs wound exudate and forms a gel-like layer over the wound, creating a moist wound healing environment.This speeds up the healing process and helps stop bleeding.The gel-like surface ensures that the compress does not stick to the wound and can be removed painlessly.

Composition:

The compresses consist of calcium alginate and sodium alginate.

In contact with the sodium ions of the wound exudate, Sorbalgon^® Classic forms a hydrophilic, non-sticky gel.This ensures a moist wound environment that accelerates the natural healing process.The compresses help stop bleeding and enable painless removal due to the gel-forming surface that does not stick to the wound.The compresses can also be cut to size and can remain on the wound for up to 7 days.

Application:

Sorbalgon^® Classic is generally suitable for treating all external wounds.It is suitable for the treatment of superficial wounds, moderate to heavily exuding and deep wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous/arterial ulcers, transplant donor sites and surgical wounds.The use of Sorbalgon T Classic is recommended for deep wounds.
