Gelaspon Strip is a sterile, absorbable gelatine sponge used for the care of small wounds. It has a fine-pored structure that activates blood clotting and a high absorbency for blood and wound secretions. Gelaspon is also well tolerated by the tissue as it has a neutral pH value. This sponge is suitable for various applications such as nosebleeds, minor abrasions and cuts, and after tooth extractions. It can be easily removed from superficial wounds. The gelaspon strip is sterile packed and has the dimensions 4 x 1 x 1 cm. The manufacturer of the product is Dr. Gerhard Mann, based in Berlin.
