Instructions for use for Vidisic EDO eye gel
Vidisic EDO eye gel is an over-the-counter product that is used as a tear substitute for dry eyes.It is used to replace tear fluid in the event of impaired tear production and for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye.The eye gel contains the active ingredient carbomer, which acts as a gel structure to hold moisture and slowly release it into the eye.
Areas of application
Vidisic EDO eye gel is used for dry eyes.It replaces natural tears and relieves symptoms such as burning, dryness, pressure and the feeling of a foreign body in the eye.The gel is particularly suitable for long-term or continuous therapy.
Dosage and application
Depending on the severity and severity of the symptoms, the recommended dose is 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times a day or more often and approximately 30 minutes before going to bed.A new one-dose ophthiol should be used for each application.Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid of the eye with the index finger of one hand, and with the other hand hold the one-dose ophtiol vertically over the eye without touching the eye or other surfaces.Drip a drop into the pulled-down conjunctival sac, slowly close your eye and move it back and forth so that the gel can spread well.
Warnings and precautions
Vidisic EDO eye gel must not be used if you are allergic to carbomer or any of the other ingredients. If you have a lack of tears, you should avoid wearing contact lenses. If contact lenses are worn, they should be removed before instillation and not reinserted until at least 15 minutes after instillation. If the cornea is severely damaged, phosphates can, in very rare cases, cause clouding of the cornea.
Side effects
Very rarely, local intolerance reactions to one of the ingredients can occur. In very rare cases, patients with severe corneal damage developed clouding of the cornea due to calcium deposits during treatment with eye drops containing phosphates.
Storage
Keep Vidisic EDO eye gel out of the reach of children and do not store it above +25 °C.The one-dose ophtiols should be stored in the outer carton to protect the contents from light.Opened one-dose ophtiols should not be stored and any remaining amount after use should be discarded.
Composition
The active ingredient is carbomer in a concentration of 2 mg/g eye gel.The other ingredients are sorbitol, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and water for injections.
