A cold usually starts with a sore throat and an unpleasant scratchy throat.A runny nose, headache and body aches are usually other side effects of a respiratory infection. The onset of a cough usually initially manifests itself in the form of a dry, irritating cough.Within a few days, mucus increasingly forms in the bronchi and a so-called “productive cough” occurs.Umckaloabo 20 mg film-coated tablets are a herbal medicine for the symptomatic and causal treatment of acute bronchitis. Its use is recommended for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over.
Mode of action
The active ingredient contained in Umckaloabo 20 mg film-coated tablets from the root of Pelargonium sidoides non-specifically stimulates important defense mechanisms in our body. The immune response to invading microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses is strengthened and tough mucus, a breeding ground for bacteria, is removed more easily. The extract also has direct antibacterial, antiviral and cell-protective properties.
