Area of application

Cimicifuga AL is a herbal medicine used to relieve menopausal symptoms.It helps with psychological and neurovegetative complaints such as hot flashes, sweats and mood swings.The active ingredient comes from the rhizome of the North American black cohosh and has a hormone-like, stimulating effect on the female genital organs.

Each film-coated tablet contains 6.5 mg dry extract from Cimicifuga rhizome (4.5 - 8.5:1), with ethanol 60% serving as the extractant.The other ingredients are carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), microcrystalline cellulose, cellulose powder, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate, corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide (E 171).

Contraindications

Cimicifuga AL must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, have lactose intolerance, are being treated for an estrogen-dependent tumor, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.Use is also contraindicated in hormone-sensitive breast cancer.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is one film-coated tablet once daily.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should, if possible, always be taken at the same time of day (morning or evening) with sufficient liquid.They must not be taken while lying down.

Patient information

The medicine should not be taken for longer than 6 months without medical advice.If your period is disrupted or returns, or if you have persistent, unclear or new symptoms, you should consult a doctor.

Pregnancy

Due to insufficient investigations, the medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.During this time, medication should only be taken after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage
