Ferro Sanol gyn is an oral iron preparation in combination with folic acid that is used to treat combined iron and folic acid deficiency.This preparation is particularly indicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding as well as in cases of malnutrition and malnutrition.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage and application
The usual dosage for adults and children aged 6 and over with a body weight of at least 20 kg is one hard capsule daily.If there is a severe iron deficiency, adults and adolescents aged 15 and over or with a body weight of at least 50 kg can take up to 2 to 3 hard capsules daily in the initial phase.The capsules should be taken whole with sufficient water, either in the morning on an empty stomach or about 2 hours apart from meals.
Side effects
Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea and constipation.Rarely, reversible discoloration of the teeth or hypersensitivity reactions can occur.A dark discoloration of the stool is harmless and is due to the iron content.
Contraindications
Ferro Sanol gyn must not be taken in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or other ingredients, narrowing of the esophagus, hereditary iron storage disease (hemochromatosis), iron overload, iron utilization disorders, repeated or chronic blood transfusions, megaloblastic anemia as a result of an isolated vitamin B12 deficiency and in children under 6 years of age.
Special Notes
Particular caution is required in existing diseases of the digestive tract, in elderly patients and patients with severe kidney or liver dysfunction.It should be taken at a sufficient distance from meals and certain foods such as coffee, tea, milk and cola drinks, as these can inhibit the absorption of iron.Teeth discoloration can occur and is usually reversible.

Storage
