Thuringian valerian tincture

Thuringian valerian tincture is a herbal medicine that is used to calm nervous restlessness and difficulty falling asleep.No prescription is required for this product.

Composition

1 ml of the liquid contains 1 ml of valerian root tincture in a ratio of 1:5 (drug to extractant).The extractant is ethanol with a proportion of 70% (v/v).

Thuringian valerian tincture is used for nervous restlessness and difficulty falling asleep, which are primarily caused by nervousness.

Dosage and instructions for use

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults can take the tincture as follows: 1/2 teaspoon 2-3 times a day regardless of food, 1 teaspoon once a day before going to bed (approx. 30 minutes before) or 1 teaspoon 2 times a day in the evening and before bed (approx. 30 minutes before).The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

The medicine is taken in water.It should not be used for longer than 2 weeks without medical advice.If symptoms persist for a long time or recur regularly, you should consult a doctor.

Contraindications

The medicine should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, children under 12 years, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.If used despite a contraindication, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Mode of action

The ingredients of the Thuringian valerian tincture come from the valerian plant and act as a natural mixture.Valerian is a perennial with pinnate leaves and a strong-smelling root found in Europe and Asia.The main ingredients are iridoids (valepotriates) and essential oil (bornyl acetate).The plant parts used are mainly extracts and tinctures of the dried root.The ingredients have an anti-anxiety, calming, sleep-promoting and relaxing effect on the muscles.

Important notes

Reactivity may be impaired, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Caution is advised if you are allergic to spices, essential oils, turpentine oil, cinnamon, birch, poplar buds, propolis, valerian, turmeric and rosin.The medicine contains alcohol and poses a risk for people with liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, brain damage, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children.

Storage

The medicine must be stored in the dark, e.g. in the outer box.
