Instructions for use of Genteal eye drops

Intended use

Genteal eye drops are moistening drops for people who suffer from dryness, foreign body sensation and eye fatigue caused by environmental irritants.They can be used by wearers of all types of contact lenses.

Description

Genteal eye drops are sterile, slightly hypotonic, aqueous eye drops containing 0.3% hypromellose.They contain the GenAqua preservative system (sodium perborate and phosphonic acid), which produces small amounts of hydrogen peroxide, which has antibacterial activity.After contact with the surface of the eye, hydrogen peroxide breaks down into oxygen and water within one minute.No prescription is required for this product.

Application instructions

Wash your hands.Drip 1-2 drops into each eye (avoid touching the eye with the tip of the dropper) and blink several times.

Contraindications

Do not use the product if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Precautions

Before first use, check the integrity of the bottle seal.Do not use if damaged.Use opened bottle within 12 weeks.Do not use the solution after the expiry date.If you use several products on your eyes, you should leave a gap of at least 5 minutes between each product.Genteal should always be used last.Close the bottle after use.Store bottle at 8°C to 25°C.Never touch the dropper tip of the bottle to a surface or the eye as this could contaminate the solution.To avoid cross-contamination, only the same person should be treated with the contents of the bottle.

Side effects

Genteal is very well tolerated.After instillation, temporary blurred vision may occur.In rare cases, burning, stinging, allergic reactions and eye redness have been reported after instillation.If you experience any of these reactions, stop use and consult your ophthalmologist.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: 0.3% hypromellose.Excipients: sodium perborate, sodium chloride, boric acid, potassium chloride, phosphonic acid, hydrochloric acid (for pH buffering), water for injections.

Durability

Unopened: 24 months at 8°C to 25°C.Open: 12 weeks at 8°C to 25°C.

Area of application

Dry eyes or a foreign body sensation are caused by environmental irritants, dry indoor air, eye surgery and stress.Genteal eye drops relieve the discomfort of dry eyes and combat the feeling of dryness and fatigue.

Mode of action

Genteal eye drops contain the active ingredient hypromellose, which works with water to form a thick, long-lasting protective film on the surface of the eye.The eyes are protected on the one hand and moisture is retained on the other.

Notes

Avoid touching the dropper syringe with your eye or other surfaces to avoid contaminating the Genteal eye drops solution.
